Venice Trip Planning

Venice trip planning

Around 60,000 people visit Venice every day. It is more than the entire population of the city. Venice is on the list of the 10 places to see before they’re gone. Expected time remaining is less than 70 years!

The reason for that is a rising sea level which may cause the risk of being sunk. But! Although floods are getting more severe almost every autumn and spring and sun is merciless in summer, this Italian gem never suffers from the lack of tourists.

If you’re planning a trip to Venice, save at least several days for it since this small city has a lot to show and share. Check my list of things to do and see in Venice.

Things to do in Venice:

  • Walking around St. Mark’s Square;
  • Visiting St. Mark’s Cathedral and Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari Church;
  • Going across the Rialto Bridge;
  • Getting lost in narrow and cosy Venice streets;
  • Visiting museums and palaces (Murano Glass Museum, Doge’s Palace, Venice Correr Museum, Gallerie dell’Accademia);
  • Riding a gondola or local water buses (called “vaporetto”) across the Grand Canal;
  • Taking amazing pictures or shooting videos;
  • Going on islands (San Giorgio Maggiore, Murano);
  • Tasting ice-cream or/and delicious Italian food;
  • Buying souvenirs and visiting Venice markets;

Venice is called world’s most beautiful city and for good reason. However, it’s up to you whether to agree with this statement or not. I would love to hear about your adventures in Venice.
